Angel Maid Bakery is simply heavenly!

Angel Maid has been a West Los Angeles bakery for years. This family run Japanese American shop offers scrumptious delights to satisfy any sweet tooth. They are known for their delectable cream puffs and airy cakes. It should be noted that they can run out of items pretty early in the day so if you are looking for something in particular it's best to get there early or order ahead.

After having sampled a slice of their whip cream and strawberry cake at a party we attended recently we knew we needed to go to Angel Maid and check things out for ourselves. With our daughter's second birthday a couple weeks away we thought it would be great to order her birthday cake from Angel Maid. The day we went to place our order we also picked up a few tasty tarts. Among the tarts we chose was a raspberry chocolate which we fell crazy in love with. It was the perfect mix of fruity, tangy, chocolatey yum! For our daughter's birthday we ordered 1/4 sheet of their Chocolate dobash cake. The cake cost $45 and due to the thickness of the cake it fed 22 people--which was more that the 15-20 people serving size listed at the shop. Worth every cent, it had two layers gooey, thick chocolate sauce which sat between three layers of spongy chocolate cake. The frosting was a light-as-air homemade whip cream which was not overly sweet. It was beautifully decorated with a ballerina set and ribbon! We'll definently order from them again. Angel Maid is truly a West Los Angeles treasure!
