Nathan Sawaya is a professional LEGO artist and former LEGO Master Model Builder, who has been playing with LEGOS since he was five. "His work is obsessively and painstakingly crafted and is both beautiful and playful," says the museum. "Sawaya’s ability to transform LEGO bricks into something new, his devotion to scale and color perfection, the way he conceptualizes the action of the subject matter, enables him to elevate an ordinary toy to the status of art..."
The Art of the Brick museum show is currently touring the U.S. It is the first major museum exhibition in the United States to focus exclusively on the use of the popular LEGO® building block as an art medium and artist Nathan Sawaya takes it to new heights. Check it out!
