The Crafty Crow has April covered w/a month of repurposed goodies
Cassi from The Crafty Crow has been doing a bang-up job dedicating the month of April to kid-friendly trash to treasure projects in honor of Earth Day.
Already she's posted compilations for what to do with various trash-bound materials. Some of the theme-based lists she's included so far have been egg cartons (we've made and played this game and this one), wine corks (yup, have some of these sitting in the bin), cardboard and plastic (you've got to try the flower prints from soda bottles with the kids).
There are posts for individual projects...Make a puppet from an old stuffed toy, a flower from a whisk and brooches from eyeglass lenses (yeah, you heard me...eyeglass lenses). Then there's a guest post from Journey Into Unschooling for making a topsy turvey tomato planter from a plastic soda bottle...AWESOME!
Today's topic is plastic lids...We'll be making these babies tonight....Whew....And April isn't even over yet! The Crafty Crow is dedicated to making every day Earth Day.
