Crafty Dollar Store DIY
Frugal DIY site Dollar Store Crafts just makes me happy. Showcasing resourceful who just can't pass up the bargain bins without thinking "I could use that." And better yet, the site shows how-to turn discounted items into some pretty cool stuff. And just in time for the holidays. Some of the projects that caught my attention right away were this "Stamp That Onesie" tutorial that could be really cute if it turns out as nice as the pictured product and the "Tutu-torial" how-to which is another fabulous and quick way to fashion a tutu on the cheap for your prima ballerina. However, my favorite craft on the site is the "Animal Gift Wrap" DIY that uses those foam stickers you see everywhere to make the funnest rolling pin stamp. I could totally see my mini-crafsters really loving this activity whipping up sheet after sheet of the coolest holiday gift wrap under the tree.
"This blog is dedicated to bringing you crafts that feature materials purchased at dollar stores, at dollar sections in stores and at discount stores for $1 or less. Crafts will focus on projects that are $10 or less. Hopefully, much less!"
These are tough times calling for new ways to be super resourceful. The
Dollar Store Crafts site is a real bargain offering alternative ideas to save us a buck or two and get us by.
