A guaranteed hit at the class party: easy handmade goodie bag fillers

While the goodie bag is the highlight of any school holiday party they are a pain for any parent to put together.
Heidi Kenney of My Paper Crane so eloquently articulates the feelings most of us parents share towards them stating " am in charge of the goodie bags for my 6 year old’s holiday party. I was racking my brain for filler because I didn’t want to just buy some junky little toys that would probably never be played with (those tiny pinball things, plastic tops that do not spin."

And if you haven't hit up Party City yet you're bound to be stuck spending a small fortune on a mix-matched cart full of crap.

Or, you could always make the goodies yourself. "Hand make the goodies myself? Are you insane? Don't you know the big holiday class party is tomorrow?" you say. Well, let me tell you thanks to Heidi and her handiwork she's taken the mystery out of what to make. Even better, her ideas are fast, cheap and crowd pleasers sure to earn you the title of "Coolest Mom in School." Check out her post on handmade goodie bag swag complete with clear directions and photos and see for yourself. I'm completely in love with the cutie pie gnomes and jingle bell necklaces. No longer do you need to stress over sending your kid to school with bags full of trinkets you don't even want your own kid to have. Go homemade and have a happy holiday!
