A letter beanbag tutorial that spells fun
I'm a fan of tricking kids into learning something...Disguising concepts that might normally be on the dull side (like spelling) in a heaping helping of yummy game-time fun.
This letter beanbag tutorial from Ashley of Lil Blue Boo is exactly what I'm talking about. All the fun of a beanbag toss with the educational value of letter recognition, sequencing and counting skills. All it takes is a few pieces of fabric, freezer paper, cloth paint, basic sewing skills and that bag of pinto beans you've had sitting in your pantry for the last 3 years. The how-to is complete with directions and photos detailing every step. Ashley has even included a downloadable PDF of the alphabet she uses for letter stenciling...excellent! Who doesn't love a good beanbag? Or the awesomeness that is freezer paper stenciling? Whip up a set and let the letter-learning fun begin.
