Make a chalkboard book from a used board book
With a freshly-minted middle schooler and kindergartener at home the days are now numbered for our well-loved (worn out) board books. And although we're sure to find good homes for many of our cherished page-turners there are a few in our collection that just won't make the cut.
Enter Regina Lord of Creative Kismet and her awesomely-awesome tutorial for transforming board books into chalkboard books which she shares on Whip Up.
Have you noticed the chalkboard paint craze? It’s everywhere! On walls, doors, jars, posts. Really you can put it on just about anything. I’ve already painted it on my pantry door, but thought it would be fun to do something more portable for my kids. Something they could carry around, take in their room or on a long road trip.
Ingenuity like this brings tears to my eyes. Resourceful, cute, cheap and easy...I love this idea oh-so-much, for oh-so-many reasons. Good bye Goodnight Moon, hello chalky goodness!
