Make an owl mobile...What a hoot!
Joel Henrioques of Made by Joel makes a lot of awesome things...He has a real talent for cool, modern projects for kids that tickle their imaginations and spark curiosity...And lucky for us he likes to share!
His paper owl mobile tutorial is no exception. He gives you the directions and printable template for whipping up one of these fine feathered creatures in two flaps of a wing.
Joel:
I've been wanting to try a paper cut-out mobile and ended up making this owl. It was an interesting design challenge, trying to make it look good no matter how the pieces spun, and the mobility gives the owl a lot of character. I think I'll put it in the kid's room.
I also love how he suggests having the kids color the owl template in before cutting it out. Great idea! What a sweet little mobile to have hanging around the house this autumn!
