OH Music: Guster Yellowgold returns to the West Coast Feb. 6 & 7
We love kindie rockers Gustafer Yellowgold. Their music delivers the goods on so many levels and on stage they are a whole 'nother level of awesomeness...A musical experience parents can truly enjoy along with their children. And the best news is they are coming back to the West Coast!
First stop, two free shows at San Francisco Main Library on Saturday, February, 6th at 10:30am and 12:00pm. My family is so excited about Gustafer coming to town we might have to stay for both shows just to take in all their yellow-y goodness.
Next up, they're heading south for a rockin' matinee show at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica on Sunday, February, 7th at 11:00am. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online. We had the opportunity last year to catch their live show at McCabe's which was a real treat seeing such a great band in such a prime rockstar location.
According to a recent press release:
Morgan Taylor (creator of Gustafer Yellowgold and fearless leader) developed the Gustafer Yellowgold experience as equal parts pop rock concert and minimally animated movie. A natural storyteller with comedic bent, Taylor has dreamed up a whole world of catchy and original story-songs about Gustafer (a friendly creature who came to Earth from the sun), performing alongside a large screen displaying vividly colored animations with karaoke-style subtitles...Possessing an unusual crossover appeal, Gustafer Yellowgold's show has performed as the support act for WILCO and The Polyphonic Spree.
In conclusion, if you must see live music with the kids you MUST see Gustafer Yellowgold live.
