Organic Express goes Spud! in Los Angeles and San Francisco!

I was surprised to learn that starting this month Los Angeles's organic home delivery service Organic Express has now become part of the spud!(Small Potatoes Urban Delivery) company. My family has grown to love Organic Express and we look forward to receiving their boxes bi-weekly. However, we just received our first official spud! Fresh Harvest Box and it's comparable to what we received for the same price from Organic Express. We did miss the included recipe using items placed in the box that Organic Express placed with each order but isn't that what Epicurious is for anyways? We do like that spud's site makes it easy to rate items and customize orders so you get what you'd normally buy had you gone shopping for it yourself! You even have more options for how much you' like to spend and delivery depending on amount spent is still free! The invoice included with our order breaks down the pros of going spud outlining even how many miles and minutes were saved by ordering through them--a nice helping of karma to go along with delicious produce. Started in 1998 in Vancouver, B.C. by David Van Seters, a sustainability business consultant, spud! is an online company focused on helping the environment through delivering local, organic groceries to homes in areas nationwide and now starting this month means Los Angeles and San Francisco as well!
