Put a note in your kid's lunch--give a lunch to a starving kid
If given the choice my son would eat Lunchable for ever meal. Although I'm not a fan of sending my son off to school with one of these yellow box o'processed edibles Kraft is attempting to improve the nutritional quality of their Lunchables and they are also doing something pretty great right now...that's worth a few kudos.
Right now Luchables wants you to make a promise to write a note of encouragement and slip it in your kid's school lunch and in return they promise to donate a meal to Feeding America with a goal of 100,000 promises...that's a lot of meals folks!
According to the site "What's the Lunch Note Promise campaign, brought to you by Lunchables, about? Giving kids what they need to help them do their best. All we need from you is a promise to give a lunch note to your kids...For every parent who makes the lunch note promise, the Lunchables team will donate a meal to a child and their family in need through Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, which serves an estimated nine million children annually. The goal is to turn up to 100,000 promises from moms like you into up to 100,000 meals from Lunchables Lunch Combinations for kids in need."
Simply go to the Lunch Notes Promise site and click on the promise button. They've even included some extremely cool notes for you to print out, cut, write a warm-fuzzy and stuff into your kid's lunchbox right next to the turkey and cheese on whole wheat. Doesn't get much easier than that! Feed your kids some extra encouragement and help Lunchables feed some people in need.
