Recycle a cereal box into a Field Notes-like notebook
Ellen from The Long Thread has put together a tutorial for making cereal box journals. The journals remind me of Field Notes notebooks which I constantly tuck in my back pocket/can't live without. Using a sewing machine, Ellen shows us how to stitch together repurposed cardboard from cereal boxes and, if you so choose, recycled paper to make the journals. A cost efficient and eco-friendly project, perfect for someone like me who requires a Field Notes notebook on me at all times. My family polishes off boxes of cereal at an alarming rate so this truly for us is a fun way to demonstrate recycling. First it's a Honey Nut box containing delicious O's and now it's a crisp journal ready for my kids to fill with their thoughts and ideas.
