Repurpose old jeans into a Stupid Creature

Too hot still to think about chestnuts roasting on an open fire? Not for us crafty folks trying to get a jump-start on the homemade holiday gift season.

Understanding just what I'm talking about Threadbanger recently celebrated X-mas in July with a special episode featuring John Murphy showing us how to make one of his Stupid Creatures. I love this project that uses an old pair of jeans to craft the super-killer softie. The accent material called for in the project is such a small amount you might even decide to upcycle one of dad's old dress shirts making you uber-green crafter of the year. A cutie-booty and a bit of room in the month to stash a secret treasure round out this cool homemade gift. What kid wouldn't love finding one of these creatures nestled under the Christmas tree or Hanukkah menorah (or whatever)?
