Take-along fabric dollhouse tutorial for the doll on the go

Crafty gal Dawn of UK Lasse in the US generously shared her fabric dollhouse and barn tutorial a while back and I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. Call me crazy or a sucker for multi-purpose goodies but I'm thinking a certain little half-pint deserves to unwrap one of these super cute fabric homes this holiday season. And depending on how it goes maybe a few of her mini playmates will receive one as well. I can just see it now. My daughter toting her favorite tiny people in her take-along fabric house to her gal pal's for a playdate and once she gets there her friend pulls out her matching house, they plop down on the floor and begin playing an intense version of people in your neighborhood. I might need to throw in a fabric barn to really shake things up a bit. For now I'm working on my first house and dreaming of the possibilities. The tutorial is very easy to follow with clear instructions and beautiful photos. The project requires only a few materials most of which I'm thinking I might already own. Dawn claims on her site to be a self-taught beginner sewer and her results are magnificent so I'm hoping if she's not just being bashful that maybe. perhaps maybe I can pull this off. Fingers crossed.
