Trash-bound markers get a 2nd life w/these cool DIYs
Earth Day 2010 is a little over a week away. To get the celebration going try one of these super-rad repurposing ideas for giving dried out markers a 2nd life from Beth of Mommy on a Shoestring. In her post she shares with us how to squeeze a little extra magic out of markers you'd normally toss by transforming them into a pen and pencil holder or, my personal favorite, a jumprope...Yes, you heard right, I said jumprope (Texaco anyone?). Raid your kid's art supplies box for DOA markers, grab a couple tools from the toolbox and a few extra household items and get into the eco-friendly spirit with the kids.
They are so cute, it ALMOST makes me want to keep the caps off the markers on purpose.
