Whip up tasty nursery rhyme inspired snacks
Rhyming is a crucial early childhood skills all kids must develop as a precursor to reading. And one of the first ways kids begin to acquire this essential ability is through the practicing and learning of traditional nursery rhymes.
Kellie of Little Nummies understands this. She's done an amazing job creating nursery rhyme themed snack ideas that push rhyming fun to the next level. Among the rhymes she tackles you'll find cool recipes with healthy ingredients like broccoli, cheese, egg, olives, strawberries and cucumber. So far she's posted recipes for an Itsy Bitsy Spider plate, Humpty Dumpty, Little Bo Peep and, my favorite, Hickory Dickory Dock made with a strawberry mouse and a peanut butter and bread clock. Snack time is the right time to rhyme!
