Frog & Toad on stage Feb. 7th-Feb. 14th w/a free event this Sat.

Friendship has never been finer or funner than in the pages of a Frog and Toad book. No one does the trials, turbulence and glee of friendship better than Arnold Lobel when he's telling it through the adventures of his two most beloved amphibious characters.

And boy does the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center in Rancho Cucamonga know it. From now until February 14th families can watch as their favorite storybook characters, Frog and Toad, come to life on the cultural center's Lewis Family Playhouse stage.

"With a score that bubbles with melody and wit, this delightfully charming musical remains true to the spirit of the original stories as it follows the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad through four fun-filled seasons. The two good friends plant gardens, go swimming, rake leaves, bake cookies, and go sledding - while learning life lessons along the way, including the importance of friendship and what makes all of us different and special."

Recommended for families with kids 5 years old and up tickets can be purchased online for $16.50 per person. The show runs Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 4pm.

And if you're really looking to make this theater-going event something grand for your tiny hoppers join the cultural center this Saturday, February 7th, for a free event. From 12-4pm the Bank of America Imagination Courtyard at the center is hosting a Frog & Toad Friendship Festival. At the event families will enjoy special activities including a Pen Pal Writing Station, Valentine Card Making, games, crafts, Friendship Bracelets and Caricature Drawings. Check out the festival before the show and really get in the spirit of friendship.
