World Music Drum Series with Rhythm Child @ Play beginning September 30th

With it's open paint and play sessions, chalk walls, art and music classes we think LA tot-spot Play happens to be a pretty swell place.

And it just so happens these next two months at Play are filled with some pretty swell family music events. Among all the wonderful opportunities coming up is super cool Rhythm Child's "World Music Drum Series". "Join Rhythm Child’s Norm Jones at Play this fall for another exciting World Music Drum Series. This 3-date, interactive series explores world rhythms, incorporating music from the Putumayo Kids collections. Ticket sales are limited to guarantee an intimate event." The series which will take place one three different Tuesdays at 4pm cost $65 for 1 adult and 1 child or $85 for a family of 3 to 4. Tickets can be purchased in person or by phone (323)988-1189.

Also, families looking for a good kids' folk show might want to check out Randy Kaplan's show scheduled for September 20th at 11am. There will be Face-painting with Faye & Mural-Making in the art-room from 10-11am for those little rockers looking to spiffy up before the big show. "Admission: $7 per person in advance, $8 at the door if available(worn/carried infants under 6 mos. FREE). Advance tickets available starting Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, in person at Play or by phone with a credit card (for purchases of 3 or more)."
