DIY jelly bean bracelets

What to do with that candy mountain you suddenly accumulated Sunday which is sitting in an Easter basket in your front room constantly taunting you? Ever person your kids came in contact with on Easter seemed to have a special candy treat for them that was "Left by the Easter Bunny" at their home with a "note" specifying it was to be delivered to your kids. Grateful as you are that the loved ones in your life thought of your kids, you're still are stuck with enough candy to feed a small orphanage.

The egg hunt is over...repurpose those eggshells into spring mosaics

Lately, I've fully embraced the whole recycle and repurpose movement. Save and reuse, jelly jars to coffee grounds...My husband must think I'm insane; especially now that I've placed a request that all eggshells removed from any hard boiled eggs collected yesterday at a cousin's traditional Easter Egg Hunt be given to me. But what he'll soon see, and what I'm sharing with you is that eggshells actually make a nice medium for crafting mosaics.

Easter egg how-to that gives a new meaning to the words tie-dye

Kind of tired of the good ol' Paas dye job? Looking for a unique way to color those Easter eggs but are quickly running out of time? Check out Goody Blog's tutorial for dying eggs with silk ties. Yes, that's right...Apparently with a few of grandpa's old dress ties, a few pieces of white fabric (they suggest old t-shirts or sheets), some vinegar and a handful of rubber bands your hard-boiled spheres can go from ordinary to egg-straordinary.

Cutie-pie fingerprint bunny cards for Easter

Lolly chops has posted a pretty sweet idea for making fingerprint Easter cards. It's a nice activity to keep those bored kids, home on spring beak, busy for a bit. Using your little bunny's digits and some washable markers you can create a quick and easy card that would be a delight to receive by any grandparent.

A few clever recipes to help you get rid of those extra Easter eggs

Hard boiled eggs. Oh how we love them and can't get enough of them. However, if your family is anything like mine you probably only consume hard boiled eggs once a year when you go hog-wild boiling up and dying dozens of them for the "big hunt." And even after you're family stuffs themselves with at least a half a dozen hard boiled eggs each on Easter you're shocked to find you're still left with three dozen more.

A bag of jelly beans that is high on sweetness, low on sugar

I'm sold on whipping up one of these super-sweet Bag of Beans to toss in my little bunny's basket come Easter. Tutorial, courtesy of the purl bee, contains easy-to-follow directions with lovely photos illustrating the steps. A quick and cheap sewing project that's a perfect replacement for some of that junk candy your planning on cramming into their Easter baskets.
