Farrell's making a comeback?
Submitted by Robbie on May 12, 2009 - 8:22pm.Growing up in Riverside, CA, a special occasion would not be complete without a trip to Farrell's for old-timey ice cream fun. Big drums. Troughs full of cold sugar. Something called a "Golddigger." They went out of business in the early 90's, although we found one in Santa Clarita a few years ago... I, for one, welcome the return of our Ice Cream Overlords.

A minute shopping center on busy Ventura Boulevard in Encino, Ca. hardly seems the place to house the most magnificent waffle joint in all of LA. Tucked inside the core of the Encino Town Center More Than Waffles is a glowing gem hidden in the back corner behind a sparkling fountain ready to great loyal customers and treasure seekers curious to find out if this diamond in the rough is more than just legend. And oh how their waffles, omelets and coffee are legendary.
